Wiebke Strehl

Dr. Wiebke Strehl joined the UNC Asheville community in the summer of 2012 as Chair of Modern Languages and Literatures and Professor of German. She earned her PhD from Penn State and was a faculty member and Assistant Department Chair at the University of South Carolina before moving to Asheville. Since her arrival she has taught all levels of German and is an active participant in the German Language Consortium. Her current research and publications focus on authentic materials development and testing and she has been the AP Chief reader for German as well as the American Association of Teachers of German Chair of the National German Exam.
